cant get a tax certificate

off someone i did some work for ive called for months im a stickler for having accounts in order and this bell end is being a di ck to me.whats the score i know the totals do i just file on line as though i have them or is there a way to make him send me one.

just as a side note he also didnt pay me for 2 days work i was doing patching and repair work for him,he didnt like the fact i decided to leave as he was a complete tw at so started saying my work was sh it etc etc.i told him c u in court even tho i wont cos i cant be ars ed ,i called him everyweek for 2 months wanting my money in the end he started threatning me bla bla bla so it would please me no end if him not giving me my monthly tax statement got him in trouble
 
just file it yourself the only way he will get in trouble is if he hasnt paid the tax
 
yep you can write one out yourself if they want proof jut put name of firm your utr ni number total gross and net if he hasnt filed it they will investigate him done it loads of times i get fed up chasing them even better if you can show it on a bank statement
 
Ive done mine had one firm not send me a pay statement just go through your bank statements and work it out from there. Just dont add 20% to your nett because it will be wrong you need to find what 80% of £xxx is for example £500 minus 20% is £400 but £400 plus 20% is £480 it can be done without a pay statement just spend a night doing your sums mate
 
i had it a couple of yrs back. my accountant sorted it but its def not a prob. as long as uv got ur invoice, and can show its gone into ur account minus the tax and the dates correlate.
