Am I doing it wrong? This bugs me, on numerous topics I see people saying they just throw a capfull of freeflo in the mix!
However if you read the instructions it says 20 -40 parts water to one of freeflo, so if it takes 20 litres of water to make a batch then you need a minimum of 1 litre freeflo??

However I probably am doing it wrong as I only use mastercrete and put a little bit less( after speaking to people in the know) freeflo in mix, but certainly more than a cap full.

Thankfully it's mostly bagged renders I use but what's your thoughts?. ..

I've not used Freeflo for a while now but it used to give two ways of measuring how much you needed. Either a ratio to water used or a ratio to cement used. I always used the cement as my guide. In the winter when I knew the scratch would cure nice and slow I'd use the Freeflo at full the upper recommendation and it the warmer months when I knew I'd need to get some water back into the scratch I would use the lowest recommended amount.
On internal work I used to use just one or two caps per large diesel mixer full of gear just as an added plasticiser.

One capful of freeflo into muti finish re***ds it. Wouldn't do much to a full guage of muck!

Wires crossed?

I always stick to 250ml in to a normal belle mixer load.

As for multi it varies, but does seem to sit for another 15 - 20 mins.

It is also a bit more creamy or fatty. I found out sort of by accident, used a bit of render guaging water to skim with when the plumbers cut the water!
