ceiling timing

Just out of interest lads how long would it take you to skim a 18m ceiling (domestic) to
a) Lay on 1st coat
b) lay on 2nd
c) be on the van on way home

assume your working on your todd and all sheeting up is done before you start???

Just curious

I like fri nites its like talking to my 3 yr old twins sometimes :-*

How long just to lay on 1st coat then???
 
Depends on what you're going over, and what shape the room is. Alcoves, chimney breasts, etc, all slow things down.

About 15 mins on average should do it though

Just that i got an 18m ceiling to do and its a biggy for me so was curious how long you pro lads would take to lay on
 
i alway say, a set is a set is a set. 3 to 4 hours if its 1m or 30m including sheeting up and cleaning up.
 
10-15 minutes first coat, i like to take a little bit longer with my second coat, make sure theres no hollows in the wall. so probably 15-20mins.
 
over board or ready prep
10/15 first coat
5min clean down mix up
10/15 second
5min clean up
flatten in / get all the gear on the van 20 min
couple or trowels 20/30 mins
2min counting your ££££££ of you go ;)
