chase out and one coat

hi all,
i`ve got to price approx 300-400 linear metres or chasing out and one coat finish.
they want me to chase out 2 inch strip,half inch deep,then one coat after sparky`s have finished.
has anybody priced a job like this before?i was thinking £9 lm.

thats a tough one mate but i would without doubt hire one of those chasing machines with the 2 diamond blades and a vacumn makes the job a piece of pass

thinking about it @ £9 per m you could make some good money mate, get a lab for the day you go ahead and do all the cutting he follows, kangos out and brushes down then go behind the sparks laying up a few days later... money in the bank!!!

cheers rich.it`s a price for a company working for lidi`s,so need to keep my price tight cos there`ll be other guys going for it.i can price m2 jobs no problem but this one`s a tricky one.i`ve got 2 guys on the books full time so the labours no problem

Half inch deep into what?concrete and youll eat diamond baldes or scutch blades?Plaster brick not so bad,but when using diamond blades dry you eat them up,and they aint cheap.
£9 x 400 = £3600 sounds expensive to me mate.
Plastering is the easy bit 2.5 day max with one coat to do 400 metres to a good standard
Half that still sounds expensive to me 1 week's work.
If you want the work go in at nearer £1500 or ill bet u lose it.£1000 and i reckon its urs.

good point 2day.i know the plastering is the easy part of the job.just trying to work out how long it would take 2 bloke`s to chase out on concrete blocks with chasing machine`s?

The elctrician i sub for wouldnt touch one of them machines he and his business partner swear by a scutch chisel and lump hammer.You can get scutch chisels that go onto SDS drills also, i n ever used one so cant say how good they are!!.
At a guess mate id reckon 2 of ya would piss chiseling in 1.5 days and 2 plastering 1 day easy.
