i hate doing chases, maybe im doing it wrong tho... fill gap with bonding/hardwall, take it back a couple of mm and round the edges, skim with multi, then a really tight teeny weeny skim with more multi and trowel up? or should i just do one skim :S how long will i have to wait before i skim it anyway, same day or next?

my way ismix half a bucket of bonding up sumtimes with a lil bit of mullti finish in it..then a small bucket trowl of cement to the mix..quickly fire it in the hole...2 hours later..1 coat of multi flaten ..then brush sides and trowl again wait till starts to go then add small over skim and same again..keep pressure on edges and keep brushin in to fade in.. ;)

hmm i did brush in the edges aswell, maybe i did it too early :-?guess im gonna have to practice this one a bit till i get the hang of it

Hi

What l do is mix up some browning really thick and slap it in and cut it back about 5mm give it about 10 to 20 mins it will have firmed up enough to skim onto mix up your multi really thick again then you just brush down your edges and trowel it up, job done

thought that browning would shrink after its dried.. surely if you skimmed it over too quickly it could pull in away from the edges leaving a gap :-/

yeh i always skim past the edge, youll always see it otherwise, or thats my opinion ::) then when i trowel em up i wet the perimeter and trowel back in from the wall towards the centre of the patch....
