Priced a small chimney breast today. Its back to the brick on the front and the sides are ok but will need skimmed as i'm sticking beads on the corners. Approx 2.4 high and 2 wide. How much £ ??

I though about that but the punter has some raggles in the kitchen so i may as well use bonding. Works out cheaper than buying a couple of boards and some dry-wall. BTW the job is £170 :RpS_wink:

its not back to brick cos of damp is it? chimney breasts are notorious for damp.... theres no dpc in em (shut up flynny) and half the time they soak up water from the outside or down the pot...
bonding and damp?
make sure its well ventilated eh?

Nah, its bone dry. My guess is its blown due to years of heat. The property is 70 years old and there is no sign of damp.
