Colin c is asking what please to use on the Baco Block system. Thats exposed to sea coastal winds.

Baco block is an ICF system (insulated concrete formwork) its built like lego and then is poured with concrete. Colin, with costal properties you are going to need to protect the render system as much as you can. Normal finished thickness for render systems is 15mm. You will need to increase the thickness to a minimum of 20mm as its high exposure. You will also need to use a service sealer on top of the render. This will help stop the salts corroding the render. We would be more than happy to assist you with a specification for materials required.

Or you could rough cast it which was orinally done to protect buildings with high exposure to the elements, doesn’t look to good to some people but it serves a purpose. Are those blocks named after the Bako kids building sets or vice versa?
