Do you mean expansion or movement beads? SAS Europe Ltd have them and in colours.

Direct Building Supplies in Bradford have them in white.

As Rigsby says - SAS and DBS have the same beads.....

Have you told them just how many you need.... that volume should get a better price surely....

Give me a shout Monday Dan, assume it is the little Aquapanel Exterior job...... might have some influence.

Yes mate it is the " little" aqua panel job as you put it.

Couldnt see the beads on bdp.

Told wemico how many and thats the rate. Its 40 a pair if i buy them singlely

I have a feeling Dan may have been quoted the slip bead by Wemico used on framed buildings at horizontal junctions usually.
Dan have you the Wemico product code ?

Try and talk them into a 3035. The gasket is big and will tuck in the joint nice its rubber so no need for insect mesh. The look is recessed so if you joints are horizontal. I guessing they are? Not ideal so you would want a drip also on the upper edge to deflect water away. It won't get past the rubber gasket but it could sit there stagnating unless you fill out the recess with sealant.

Loads of beads on the site tho I would have a good look in all the categories and see what you think. You want speed and price obviously. 30 quid a length is a joke. You might get a better price from a Wemico account holder rather than Wemico direct as they do hike upnprices for one of purchases.

Maybe jub can help you out ?

Hi John

The 3035 beads are Vertical beads - I know what you are on about when you explain them in a Horizontal though....

The project Dan is looking at has had problems on an earlier phase, hence changing to Aqu Ext, and are working to NHBC / TRADA statements - so upper floors have a large expected horizontal shrinkage..... so if you use a recessed bead and mastic, the mastic will cause problems if the shrinkage occurs.

I will have a chat with Dan (etc.) and the MC next week and try to work something out with the various suppliers.

Ill have a look. To be honest ive only used the slip joint beads before.

Ti be fair jub said source them myself as be more expensive through them

Got hold of trueline. Theyve quoted 23 a pair. So gettimg there

We based on what Richard is saying its not a straight forward install.
There is previous and for whatever reason great amount of movement.
In that case I don't think they will have a problem paying you handsomely for the slip profile.

Send them the PDF detail from Wemico explaining the time and cost with your price.

There was another type of slip bead on the market but I don't see it on wemicos site.
It was ideal because there was no need to break the batten runs and all you had extra was the cloth roll for insects lay flat before the boards

Its already in the spec. The subframe to be cut each floor with beading. So they will expect the beads to be used. Just didnt realise how much they want for the beads.
