anyone else get massive condensation build up in back of their vans

got 07 plate transit all new ply ling and shelving and its all turning mouldy with there moisture from condensation
it has the spinny air vent on top

old transit never had this problem only diffrence was old van had no vent on top and was a hole in bulk head between cab and back

Might work .... The amount of water in back if our vans just off wet tools and buckets etc at end if day every day .... Could see it workin in a car , in the van probz have to change it quite often ......

Interesting - my window does get misted up

just lick it off ryan :RpS_thumbup:

havent got any in mine. its got a flettner vent in the top so the smell of the dead bodies could dissipate. plus a padded roof :RpS_thumbup:

If you have a top vent in the van and a bulkhead, drill a few 10 mm holes near the bottom of the bulkhead. The air has to have somewhere to come in dry (calm down @Olican!) and go out with the moisture from the back. Another thing that helps is to stick some sound deadening mat, or self adhesive tiles to the roof of the van (inside!) which stops the condensation forming there and keeps it in the air.

If you don't have a vent, put one top and bottom in the bulkhead.

If you don't have a bulkhead and you still have damp, stop p1ssing in the back of the van!

My iveco has condensation inside this time of year. Worst thing is when it freezes and I get icicles too!

what about installing some kind of PIV system :RpS_unsure: that will take care of it :RpS_thumbup: or inject the tyres with some drizone or generic equivalent in case its rising damp :-(

That's all well and good but how to prevent the ingress of eddies falling damp :-S

My transporter has a roof linning and is dry as a bone, its where you have bare metal on the roof, hemce sticking foil will stop the damp drips

The @beddy group have an injection cream ready to rival drizone. We've named it driasabone it's one application that solves all types of damp and condensation
