Hi all, about 40 years ago I was kind of brought up around the plastering trade. Long time ago and wondering if something has changed. I was looking at some repairs/rebuild and noted this system for the plastering. It does not really resemble to me the traditional base coat and finish coat I was familiar with. Both the base and finish coat seem to be thin. I would assume that this being an older house there are areas where both coats are built up to about 1/4 inch to float it straight. My question is this considered a veneer system versus a traditional system? Thanks for your input. John

Thanks for your input, It's real nice that when someone has a question and goes to the supposed experts with a question and these kind of responses are given. No wonder it's a dying trade. Yes from the US and yes looking for a answer as I am unfamiliar with the newer processes. WOW! best of luck in trade, I assume that you will not last long with your Sh***y attitude.
