i did a job on the weekend, it was a reskim on a livingroom... any way i asked the fella if he wanted me to do something abit different to the fireplace, and run the corners with a template i had made last friday (sunken ovolo. once he seen them he wanted the same on his window wall which we had already skimed. told him because we had already finished the wall it would cost an extra £70. he agreed and we finished the room on sunday.

he just phoned me about ten mins ago and asked when we could fit him in for his dining room as he wants it to match, and his sister has been around and she wants the same thing in her living room in a month or so :)

i hope to get a few done so i can take some photos and add them to my little portfolio to show other customers, i like this more than just skimming ;)

no more mate, not got time. ive been working weekends and nights and you can f**k off if you think im doing it in what little spare time i have at the moment ;D

tell me about it mate, we are working away still (buckingham) i have just priced up the upstairs of a pub to plaster of an evening after we finish work, and have got work for the weekends when i get home. the missus sister wants a bedroom doing and asked if i could do it after work on one of the weekends when i am home.

guess what i said ;D

not quite, they are quirked beads, normally wooden beads with little sinking's down each side known as quirks.

if you imagine that, but where the quirks are you have a little step say 8mm that steps out then you have a sunken ovolo.

its abit like the opposite to a quirked bead and the bit that steps out on the sunken ovolo is flush with the finished surface of the wall ;)
