There's a well respected technical college in Anglesey, North Wales that does a year's course covering bricklaying, carpentry, plumbing, electrics and painting/decorating or plastering. You do about two months on each trade which obviously isn't enough to make you totally proficient, but as with everything in life you get out what you put in, and a course like that would be a good basis to start a career as a general builder. Failing that, how about a course in sheep husbandry - got to be a demand for that in Welsh Wales boyo ;D Cymru am byth!!
