I have a job to start soon.the spec is 2 coats of hardwall/skim.as I am planning to use my ritmo for this one would it be better to use CPI as the scratch then hardwall?could have suction problems spraying 2 coats.
Cheers

CPI is waterproof isn't it? Can't see getting 30mm on in 1 day and it will slide the next day I would think. Never used it except for a sample 2m2.

Hardwall be better I think. At the thickness you might get away setting the next day without to much problems with suction. It's lighter gear so be easier to build out the thickness.

I'd stick with hardwall I haven't sprayed it yet but I can imagine it being a bit easier and like gibbo says you might need to 3 coat it so the suction might help

If anything bobby you're going to be dealing with the suction of hardwall regardless and CPI as a base coat could cause you more problems with drying times and slumping and hard walls cheaper

I had no problems with floating on cpi scratch coat as long as your topcoat is about 8 mm

Whatever he wants to use Garry, he might need to two pass the second spray so the suction might help

Had a few problems with CPI at the start but soon got a system sorted.with the high volume of waterproof in the gear it's not a great material to work with.**** using it external in the colder months.
