Well paul its a shame you lost the job over a card that dont prove anything appart from the fact your qualified to plaster and have quals to prove it. This has been brought up on forums over 5 years and me for one have always warned people about the fact it could cost you a job. well now it is lets put it this way a lot of people on the forum of late have been slagging people coming into the game and pricing against them without any experience or in some cases with their eyes wide shut. You turned up on a site with a green card Link Removed That card is for labourers who isually do the manual jobs so the agent has got to look at your card and sees its green, hes got five guys sweeping up for him who have also got the same card. If you went for any type of job and got an interview how would it look if you never had any quals and was doing a complete different job to the one your applying for? Thats the way its going on site, all the lads who have debated on this subject over the years have either got the quals sorted or are still moaning about it and refuse to get one but one by one they are realising the hard way like you have. Wether you agree with it or not your gonna need one on site and we are always moaning on here about people coming into the game without the skills well this is how its gonna get sorted. Young people coming into the game are gonna get qualified coz they will need to be so its gonna make the game better with less chancers and i know theres not much work about for the young uns but it was the same for me when i come out of my time in 1991 but it comes round. And before its said coz its always the same come back "it dont make you a better spread" I know but it gets you through the door xxxxxx
