anyway onto a slightly more serious note ;D........ive been told to stick beads up with dab adhesive for mono in the thinking its sillicon throughout and the water shouldnt penetrate ???......did it and it was lurvely ......know im thinking (and have seen it done) of using it on s/c but if im using lime and no waterproofer in the topcoat could this go through to my adhesive cause i stick my beads up ontop of the scratch coat?

No go mate on s&c just butter them up with s&c on top of the scratch. If you use straight edges when scratching its hard not to get them plumb

straight up warrior ..............cheers church ;) ...........its so nice to use though ;D

Its weird as a load of spreads including the ones you were working for recentley dave have been using dnd adhesive on k-rend sticking up the plastic beads and i was questioning it then and still not convinced.

the job in bath was stuck with dab and they specialise in the stuff with machines and ive seen a fair few hundred metres of s/c stuck with it ???.........i dont know meself ???

i usually whip round with a 6mm drill, insert reg plugs and blat galvo clouts in... works a treat on concrete lintels... specially if your the bloke installing the lintels... you can bead em up first with a bit of bellcast then throw em in...

Are we talking drips or angles ??? s/c or mono ..... is this the most confuseing thread ever or is it me

sorry i was on about s+c.. never done mono but i wouldnt have thought dabbing adhesive (as in drywall adhesive?) was any good externally?

o, and i do angles and drips with the drill/plug/galvo... but ive always put em on before scratch... might start doing em after scratch from now on though.... seems a good idea...

something else that pulls up silly tight in a plug are those 50mm polynails they use for fascias....
stainless, ringshanks... need a 7mm drill and a brown plug but by god you aint gettin em out again...
