done a scratch coat on a largish ext but once i start dashing on mon got to leave the job to do somethin else was going to do one side then leave it at the external corner im doing wet angles no beads whats the best way to levave it is it ok to dash against my rule when i come back will it be ok to start again dashing from that angle cheers

dashing from angles fehind down comers etc is all ok just dont try and joint in middle of wall if your doing big areas measure it out and put in stop beads at regular intervals

The way we used to do a hard arris for dash was to lay it on and return it a trowels width take the rule off give it a scrape, place the rule against the wall and dash the side your doing, slide the rule off again then cut back the return and you should have a protrusion of about 3/4" or so. When you do the following side wet the arris and you should'nt get a line down the angle. Hope that makes some kind of sense.

Its a bit of a bugger to explain. I take it you know how to do a hard arris with a rule?
The side your doing lay on as normal, when you get to the angle hold the rule up and work to that, slide the rule off your work and return it lay on a trowels width of gear, working to the rule on the opposite side, slide the rule off again. you should have now a sharp angle.clean the rule and hold it up on the side with the trowels width of gear dash down the length of the rule, slide it off again and you will have a sharp angle where one side is dashed and a band of stuff down the other side, scrape the gear off the return and cut it into the angle when its dashed and it should protrude slightly allowing you to do the other side ,when you come to it just wet the angle and render to it. Failing that use beads
