First day off in ages. Well, 4 quotes to do and bits on own house so not a proper day off.

Anyone else feel f**k*d on day off? Seem to be less tired when I graft all day!?

Always every single Sunday I'm totally bolloxed and feel massively depressed it's as though your running on adrenaline midweek I think!

Si’s dad has just returned home after 5ish weeks walking the Camino way. I feel like if having this time off was doable for you, you should do something like this. Check out for a bit, time on your own, re-evaluate... you sound like you need it and def deserve it

How are you getting on with the neighbor now ?
 
I'm making an effort to have more time off, took last two weekends off and two weeks off end of July, was grinding me down working 7 days most weeks

Same . getting silly now and booked till November as it stands today.Aways seems
To end up being 6 or 7 day week
 
Be grateful of the work people, before you know it you could be scratching your arse, construction has a history of it. Some shock to economy and boom phone stops ringing.

I try to to but I end up doing 5-6 weeks stints without a day off and end up like a zombie so trying to have a bit of balance finally....I'm a big saver so been banking it while we're in good times

I'm always greatful but my reputation gets work i only do domestic so all
The politicS dont bother me. Was busiest at credit crunch lol

No 2 dips are the same lurpak, hopefully we be busy for ever, reps don't matter if a massive hit economy.

Over, 50,60 guys will tell you that. Seen some good guys go to the wall. Nothing is certain in this game bud.

That's true, fortunately I don't rely on plastering. Feel for tradesmen who do tho. Need to smash it out while it pays i guess

Then one day, twenty- five years down the line, you wake up and think, 'f**k me I've been busy the whole time and missed out on so much of good stuff life has to offer'.
Work life balance.

Correct, it happens when it's too late, that's when you weigh it up, the money, property, etc,,
Balance is hardest, if your chasing it.
 
Work to live, don’t live to work.

If you have all you need you are rich.

Better than chasing for all you want.

Never forget to look at all you have

I don't need to worry fortunately any more, it's a bit of advice for younger lads. Don't matter how busy you are external forces can cause you grief no matter how good you think you are.
