im sure i asked this ages ago, but cant remember the answer.

doing a bathroom soon back to brick with mp75. most of it is being tiled and i thought id try the depth beads that iv seen in a few youtube vids, just to see what they are like. obviously for the bits that are tiled it doesnt matter if the bead shows through, but with the few bits that are going to be painted, how do u stop the bead showing? or does the paint just cover them over afterwards?

cheers

ive used the ones from wickes once they are ok but i ruled off em then scrimmed over the bead then skimmed this was a bathroom aswell not sure about mp75 though mate

Why are you using beads?

i used ss ones with snowplast about 20 years ago, think we just removed them then filled in,then used them again.

lol. wickes sell em as part of there plastering method thing. sposed to set em on blocks, then render and rule off em then skim over. but seen a lot of vids of foreigners using them on mp75. once they are set up rulling is obviously really quick and easy. normally i just rule like any1 else but fancied trying them as im soraying on my own and the machine is downstairs, should save a lot of time. just fancied trying them

thought they were for skimming sorry. i wouldnt bother with mp75, just buy more tile adhesive and stick str8 to the bricks

they are a pain to set but do work well if you want to square a bathroom so the tiling can be spot on. wickes ones are flimsy

the main question is how do you cover them over? or does the paint hide them?

can you get better ones from anywhere?

yeah i agree mate. just the ruling is much quicker which makes spraying on your own a lot easier. just fancied trying them.

well used them the other day. made the ruling a fair bit quicker but they were a pain to set up. cant say id bother with them again
