Desperate for render advice

Hi Everyone,

I've just bought my first house which was renovated by the previous owners.

They rendered the entire rear of the house but after just a few months one side of it is full of cracks and what looks like damp patches.

When I tap it, it sounds hollow, whilst other areas sound solid. Small cracks are now appearing on the other side of the house which previously I hoped might be ok.

I'd be so grateful if someone could offer me advice on how urgent this is to fix, and the best course of action. Would it need redoing completely? Could it simply be removed and then left alone, with the bricks exposed?

I'm worried that it needs immediate attention but having just bought the house and now lost my job due to the pandemic, I'm in a bad situation that I'm scared of getting worse.

Thank you in advance,
Gemma
