Just bought one off eBay for £200 it has a pin on the end for measuring I've been using it on my skimming all you do is push the pin in the finish an it measures if you put more than 2mm on when you've scratched on it takes about 30mins to measure all the wall just to make sure it's not gone over the 2mm what do ya think is it worth the money?

*******!! I'm about to buy a lazer measure thought you were about the shed some light!!

Any thoughts? I want cheapest that works?
 
Spanky your not alone mate, i got conned on ebay thought i bought a bargain, was one of them ultrasonic ones absolute gash.
Would like a laser measure, but could i rely on it for cutting cornice? It would be sound for measuring up jobs, id just want one accurate enough for cornice cutting.

Lol yh steer clear of them ones! Mate of mine has a bosch one about £140 pretty decent although I don't want to pay £140 I'm looking under a tonne, seen one on amazon £86 delivered next day makita 50m one

Never used one personally so haven't had a fiddle or checked it for precision.

Hoping someone will point us in the right direction..

There's loads on eBay for sale right now, depends how many functions you want, there's a YouTube video for every model. I got mine from very, the wife buys her knickers and lippy from them. I look in now and then because the do flash sales now and then plus it's interest free for 12 months.
