Been ask to price a house with lots of bossed render, to be fair its at least 40-50 years old but its about 400 yards from the sea front. Will the salt air affect the render and if so how?
Not to my knowledge i have rendered houses near the sea and never heard of this causing a problem i suppose it all depends on how exposed it is to the elements.
Must admit i dont know what Bossed render is, local termanology maybe, sand and cement be it pointing or render does suffer from weathering on exposed coastal regions.
I didnt say salt air Henry i said weathering meaning high winds combined with rain and general stormy conditions associated with coastal regions which do affect these buildings more than those inland though i do accept the question was about salt air
