Been delighted with some great skimming at a job. I’m a painter/decorator by trade and let me introduce you to my latest nightmare.
Backstory:
50/60’s house. Wallpaper was all removed by me in the hallway. Walls were ok. Some areas needed bonding and belly’s were out in some areas so it needed a good flatten. Mind you, it wasn’t horrendous where bits were falling off.
Plasterer came in to quote. No issues. All good. No Biggy, no Tupac.
I’ve attached images.
Be straight with me. What do you really think as I think it’s pretty awful. I just want to post this to show the client the replies as she also thinks it’s quite bad.
Bumps galore. Hicks. Rough edges. No edges.
I had to prime it to see it all as it was hard to spot at first but I felt it when I was painting.
I told her, I’m fine with the occasional fill here or there after skim. But this needs to be redone.
