I'm very sorry but southernmonkey wont be available to answer any questions tonight as he'll be busy stuffing his face with "extra jam" doughnuts in celebration at me finally picking the phone up and ordering a Ritmo M with all the trimmings.

Loads of doughnuts as we have just placed the same order today aswell

Wonder who gets there machine first :RpS_thumbsup:

Brilliant little mixer pump ,not just for skimming though, 240v or 110v? Learning curve coming boys.

"learning curve", get away McPlaster once we've had the machines a week we'll both be coming on the machine section offering advice to you guys, just like the coursers do to us on the plastering section:RpS_lol::RpS_lol:

Well done chaps welcome to stressville Tennessee lol

Yeah that'd be ******* right, "they're the best thing since viagra" they all say until we part with our money and then suddenly they turn into ******* transformers out to get us.:RpS_crying:

Did you get ramps extension hopper etc andy also is the skimming setup the same for bucket coats?

I've got the extension hopper, a water pump, the skimming set up and a genny as extras, but don't start asking me questions as to what they'll do as you know more than me. Either that or you know less than **** all.
No one mentioned ramps? More wedge.

Doubt you'll need them anyway to be honest I bet two of you can lift it up and put it in my van .......I mean it's nice and portable

110v cant do bucket coats as a spray finish yet. waiting for a suitable 110v compresser to be soruce which i have been advised that les has been looking in to.

9400 including vat here but we did get a hopper extention

just picked up 3500m2 skim to use it on :RpS_thumbsup: They seemed keen to see this new machine in action i supose it will make there project look more state of the art

hopper extension is a good buy mate. expensive as for what they are but a real help if uv not got a lab. and dont worry about ramps, just cut a scaffold board in half. but with 2 of us, most of the time 1 in the van 1 out can lift it in no probs.

u vat reg either of u 2?

i wasnt, so decided to, and got the couple of k back, plus the vat off everything from the 2-3 previous yrs, inc van etc. well worth it imo

lee get some scaff planks cut down and screw chocks under one end to fit into your van closing panel, should work for a tranny, Brian uses planks in his. cost = £0.00

Sorry mate but I've little to report back, we've got the machine but the company that supplied us have been let down with the generator, so it's just sitting in the unit at the mo. We've been hand applying the Spray Finish recently and although it works OK I really don't get the comments saying that it's a superior finish to that of Multi or Board Finish.

heres a funny one. i went out on thurdsday night in london, had too much to drink like you do and ended up getting back to my local train station at 3.30 am. im staggering about wondering how the f.uck im gonna get a taxi when someone says, hi nick. i look at him thinking who the f.uck are you. then it clicks that its steve goodenough the local bg rep who got my on my spray skim course. and he was hammered too. nice guy tho, he put £15 on my taxi courtesy of bg :)

Shame about the genny, hopefully the finish will be more suited to spraying. Does it behave like the knaff skim where it don't like been messed about with too much? Also is there a real difference in price per bag? Thanks again, glad I finally posted!

The spray skim is similar to the kanuf stuff and takes a little getting used to. But once you get you head around it allows you to get a finish on par with multi but you can easily put more on in a day, so it is a superior product. In fact i have started to use it for 2 coat overskims as well and its lovely for that as the first coat it bulks up very quickly. Spronges very nice aswell

In terms of cost its more or less the same as one bag goes further.

got battered last night so sorry for spelling!
