hello fellow plasters when you lot apply dot and dab do you put a dab around the plasterboard or do you apply just dabs.

continuous strip along top and bottom edge and around electrical boxes, dabs everywhere else.

dabs on the skirting line and 3 elsewehere unless specified other

continuous vertical dabs on the edges of the boards. continuous horizontal across top and bottom. then 5 rows of 2 down the middle. your meant to get 2/3 boards per bag now

i dont just put 3 dabs on the rest of the board mind ;D.....i mean one on each side and one in the middle

I just do dabs, 4x6 of them from waht I remmeber on an 8x4, dont see the point in skirting line or dabs around sockets, half inch board is stirdy enough to not bother, stud walls never have extra support round sockets so total waste of time dabbing them.

at most I would dab a solid line where skirting is just to give a solid fixing anywhere along skirting line, but generally theres no real need.

newbuild is the "solid line" thing around the perimeter... its all about the 'air test' they carry out on new houses...
anything else.... stick em where they land.. ;D
