How do you guys compare a pre bagged dash receiver to a sand and cement coat.
I have found s+c to pull in a little quick at times.
Does the pre bagged give a longer open face time??

Pre bagged will skin over a lot quicker than sand and cement, are you putting waterproofer in your scratch coat?

Will be using over external wall insulation
So I guess a suitable bagged base coat.
Maybe try and persuade to customer on a smooth silicone or mineral finish.....

Never used a bagged receiver for dashing ,but i cant imagine anything better than a well mixed sand and cement coat of render for a stone dash

Enewall dash receiver hangs for well over an hour if you're going over their basecoat. It's lovely stuff creamy and doesn't slump. If you're doing a gable end you can add freeflo to give you even more time and/or damp down the basecoat and it will hang for hours before it skins up, we do large gable ends in 1 hit this way. I wouldn't use s&c again pre-bagged is so good and so easy.
