Quite common to get a crack line on door slam side so this is how I cut my boards , anyone else , or better ideas , also welcome ; the usual wise cracks
Spelling mistake there, surely you meant depraved . I have a similar approach to boarding cielings but won't go into that just yet.I always board like that, you can see my deprived childhood shining through with my plasterboard letters.
Quite simply don't follow lines with board or it cracks
I before e except after cSpelling mistake there, surely you meant depraved . I have a similar approach to boarding cielings but won't go into that just yet.
Ha yes , it was an extremely long time ago but I'm sure I failed case English , I do know the difference between deprived and depraved thoughI before e except after c
Also should change keyboard as "case " was typed CSEHa yes , it was an extremely long time ago but I'm sure I failed case English , I do know the difference between deprived and depraved though

No, no contact with plasterers for 20 y , always done it myself ( I was an engineering student and always found dry lining fascinating ) , occasionally will get a phone call from .old customers who have had well know local builders do a bit of internal wall moving and don't botherYes it's standard practice to avoid creating weak areas prone to cracking where possible. This is why boards are staggered. Surely you know this?
Yes, boring exercise , but fascinating system design and construction techniques, it's mechanical engineering as much as plasteringYou find dry lining fascinating? It's fooking mind numbing
Sorry not entirely sure what you mean , joggle ? , cheersI usually just joggle the board, so the board over the head of the door lining interlocks by about 20mm and breaks up the vertical line.

Can you draw the stud work , by the way I think there's a ghost in your camera
It was a joke , save all the hassle and leave no doorway , but now I'm inspired to sketch and photo ( only just learnt ) so another way I use is this , depends on using offcutsDraw us a diagram love.
You should get that as a tattoo. Like a plasterers tramp stamp. It was a joke , save all the hassle and leave no doorway , but now I'm inspired to sketch and photo ( only just learnt ) so another way I use is this , depends on using offcutsView attachment 24871
To save any repeated " what and why" questions I'd probably get straight to the point and have "MAD" on my forehead , just for extra clarityM

Mmm I suppose you could...... in fact yes you're right. To save any repeated " what and why" questions I'd probably get straight to the point and have "MAD" on my forehead , just for extra clarity
Never used paper tape is that standard practice ,Board it any way you like just paper tape the joins it won’t crack.
Never used paper tape is that standard practice ,
Mechanically how does this eliminate the vibration on the board joint , surely not as good as no joint by boarding edges elsewhereNever used paper tape is that standard practice ,
I'm running out of spaceGet 'standard practice ' tattood on ur bonce
