Apply stiffer and you can skim boards immediatly, if thats why you ask., or
support head reveals with off cut plasterboard from sills,allows you fit head section...
 
Will it nak the strength up at all ? Could sound like a daft question ......... I could just imagin it shrinkin and coming off etc

Pass mate. I have done this loads to fill small patches on lath walls and ceilings. Sticks like **** to a blanket and you can skim in around 45 min.

Never had a problem. Although never dabbed boards up with it.

I've heard warm water too. Not sure if cement would mess with it.

I'm sure I've seen an Australian guy add table salt to plaster before - Wouldn't recommend that though!
 
One of the guys who work for me told me throw a few hand fulls of bonding into sand and cement and it will set fast, and it did! Same guy says Throw a few handfuls of cement and bonding into anything and it will set just as fast. Not tried it myself but feel free.
 
A mate of mine used to mix 50/50 bonding and dab and it didn't set fast. Add handful of cement and iitsa it's a different story
 
Just buy a couple of out of date bags of it off ebay :RpS_thumbup: mind you you'll be lucky to get it out of the bucket :RpS_crying:
