Drywall corners

I was going to have a bash at skimming the walls in my downstairs WC but having looking into it I think it's best left to the experts.

I have already boxed in the pipework to the sink and built up some boxing for the back of the toilet (it was a seperate cistern now closed coupled) and I've done this using plasterboard.

I gather from googling that it is possible to decorate straight onto the board so have decided I'm going to plasterboard the remaining parts of the walls and the ceiling all of which should be possiblewith one sheet (cut to size) per wall / ceiling so no joins.

Internal corners seem pretty straight forward, you just tap them and 'mud' them. However I can't seems to find the solution to external corners, do I just use normal metal corner beading as I would if I was skimming it?

Thanks in advance and sorry if a Plastering forum isn't the right place for this!

How many external corners have you got ? Ideally you should use thin coat angle beads to give a nice hard, clean edge to work to but these will leave a 2-3 mm lip that would normally 'disappear' when they are skimmed - When you say decorate, are you talking painting or papering ?

There's an external edge on the top of the toilet boxing and external edge on top of the sink boxing and 4 x edges around the window recess.

I'm planning on painting.

you can get 'bead on a roll' from screwfix, like a joint tape with a bead running down the middle...

Thanks mate I'll check it out.

I see you can get tapered boards too which should help fill the corners better with the Mud without it sticking out above the surface.
