For jointing yes. It's great for remedial work. A mate of mine uses it all the time, for internals only though. It's very strong and the adhesive is sticky as f@*! You need to fill any screw heads and large gaps prior to putting it on, or you will get a hollow underneath. It's about £4 a roll from Marnic PLC in London.
 
tony im thinking of getting into tape and joint as guy i do work for gets loads of it are them banjo's any good
