Hello all,

I would like to render a External Porch overhang from an extension, but unsure how I could go about this? I would like a modern smooth finish to the underside. The area is around 1m x 2m which overhangs... Currently it is just beams so unsure as to which board / method to use to cover & render it?i have posted a photo from online of what I would like to do so you can get a better understanding, thanks all.

You want to render the black bit?

It’s just an example not my porch lol

Aha - that explains it....I thought it was what you meant but didn't see any beams and it's not 2x1...next time, send a picture of your own porch.

Are you planning to do it yourself? If not, just get three quotes - or someone off here will do it for you...the fella who's actually going to do the work is the best fella to talk to.

Well i was planning to do this myself thanks for the advice.

Cement particle board as mentioned above. 6mm thin coat system finished in a silicone. Easy.

Been using it for the last two weeks! Leaving the dream! Plastering shouldn’t be that hard! :bananahappy:. Yesterday run out of juice in the middle of the set. Thank god was a small one :loco:
Ha happened to us so just plugged it in. Worse bit is when you go down it stops and beeps warning which seems to last a age

You have managed to bypass the H&s ? How? When is plugged in you can't use it, or the Yorkshire ones are temperamental :D
