Hi guys

was hoping some of you could help with all this talk of these spats etc im now thinking of buying one i think i am going to get the eze spat or the refina any advice as to which one is better? also what is the process wen you use one of these are they good for flattening both coats? do you use them for trowelling up if so do you need water? at the moment i lay 1st coat in with speedskim then go back to trowel to lay in 2nd coat then 2 wet trowels and a dry trowel so i was wondering if with the spat do you lay both coats in with it then do your supposed 1st wet one with it then maybe go back to the trowel for the last one? any advice would be much appreciated.

thanks

Hi

I've had the refina spat for 6 months love it , takes about 3 months to wear in,im using it most days at first to flatten only now its more warn in I put on with my trowel then use the spat all the way through the set .
I use a spray bottle to limit water use and get a good spray spread with it.

I'm able to finish a set about half hour quicker and its flat as anything . I'm using the 18 inch one so I can still get pressure on the wall used a bigger one couldn't apply enough pressure .Also use the pole in ceilings rapid! And gets lots more ceilings flattened quicker .
Not really a fan of the spead skim for skimming only use it for k rend and basecosts .

good luck pal

Hi MGPlastering, both have there fair share of even reviews. The EZE Spat has been a very good seller. We also sell the Refina Spat, we call it the Excalibur and get it from the same place they do. Give me a call if you wish to discuss either

Ryan is the render blade too stiff for flattening skim?

Hi mate,

Haven't heard from you in a while. All good?

Feedback from customers would say yes it is. I do know of people using it though, they seem happy with it. We would always recommend the Flexi for plaster.
