Looks like Council work mate!! Thats how it looks when your following the sparks on council work, the whole house smashed to hell then your supposed to turn round in a day!!

to be fair to the spark, i doubt if he managed to shape that out deliberately, as plasterers we all know what old renders like in places when your trying to patch up, some old tight gaffers givin it 'just patch it and go' when you know full well theres gonna be loose bits all over.. youve only got to look at the bricks...
thats why were plasterers and theyre sparks, i did a consumer unit before the regs went silly (part p etc) and it looked like a fkin birds nest!
thats nowt mate, its when they leave the wires hangin out 3 foot which shows a complete lack of respect for the following trade it gets my goat..
if he'd attempted to patch it up using whatever he had in his van you'd prolly hack it out and still call him a winker so he's better off leaving it for someone who does know how to plaster..
and look at it another way, the more they smash out, the more there is for you to patch up, work is work..
personally i'd get his number and buy him a bigger kango ;D

Sparks are mint we are on a job at the moment and I priced the job before it was first fixed and for some reason they have made chases and there is nothing there and when i asked the builder he has told me that the sparks have finished first fixing so there is aload of unnessary filling to do and the tails hanging out 3 foot imagine how much they could save on materials if they used the right ammount of cable :o i used to do alot of work behind this old spark and he had it down to an art form by getting it precise on how much cable he used i suppose that comes with age :-\

not that im an electrician or anything but has anyone else noticed the complete lack of a vertical cable exiting from the switch in a vertical position? capping or no capping? with the dimmer attached? wtf?

its just that i cant actually think of or even remember seeing an example when the switch wire (or whatever its called ::)) exiting below the switch heading for the floor?

maybe its through the back and switches an adjacent room? maybe he's not an electriacian at all and a plumber with a part 'p' ticket?

maybe he's gonna wait till youve plastered it then chop it back out again?

answers on a postcard please..

Dont know if you can see this pic as I am using my phone to post this(as I always do ;D)
anyway it's a finished wall & spark moved socket & chased up 12" & added a bt box next to it the weekend
why didn't he fill it the c**t & why didn't he butt the sockets together the gap is 3/8" with nothing behind it but fresh air.
It's not a big deal to patch it up but what p i ss es me off is every job a spark does they don't give a toss about the next trade or even the blokes on the job & we are expected to pick up their s h it just cause we are on the job & they always leave their rubbish f u c kin tossers >:(

The electrician i work with gets his lad to bond all the chases in for me,the sparks old boss chucked his rubbish on the back of the old mans truck years ago so he went and cut all his tails short coming out of his boxes, what a laugh to see him trying to connect his switches. ;D ;D ;D ;D
