got this to use tommorrow on a fermacell ceiling and it has to be jointed has anyone used this before just wondering what its like to work with cheers

Horrible!!! Scrape glue off joints first then sand screw heads and joint, mix joint filler and fill joints ( fast set joint filler) flat as you can quick rub when set the go over the entire surface with FST.

To be honest when its done properly its a very good finish

I'm just finishing decorating a property I boarded and taped with Fermacell. The walls have come up really well, miles better than a standard taped finish, and hard as flint too. If they have used tapered edge boards, the joints will require a second fill before the FST goes on, as there will be shrinkage because the tapers are quite deep. The joints don't need to be glued if tapered boards are used. Good luck, as the jointing system is hard going, in that the filler sets in 15-20 mins if you are lucky and fucks your buckets in a few mixes. Whatever you do, don't over fill as you'll never get it off.
