Ok so I got round to using the Smarter Surfaces stuff.
I built my daughter a bunk bed and coated the wall above.

I couldn't get on with it I'm afraid...the wall was so uneven to start with that the stuff went on too thick in parts and slumped.

Tried to do a second coat really tight but again couldn't take to it.

However the finished item looks great...
And I'm really happy with the bunk bed too!!

Looks really good that

How was the BG gear?
I really couldn't get on with the other stuff
The BG gear is like normal plaster this gear is like easy fill and should be applied the same way. As tight as possible then turn back and another tight coat until you have non left then a little sand before paint, No primer needed and it is very strong. My mate contacted me this week in oz for an office job he is pricing and they are using the smarter surfaces stuff and he wanted my advise so it is starting to take off. BG are doing a lot of schools with plasterers around the country so it is starting to take off also.
