Indeed, not nice jobs, went into to do couple of hits, then two old walls had to be hacked off and re boarded then the ceiling had to come down, of course there is no room and a new kitchen un fitted which we need to move about in one.people get tetchy too so we have to do our best.very hard to get any plasterers to help that can actually plaster, then there's the ones who "never work past three"
 
Saturday for me and the boy but customer waiting with cold hard cash which will be spent on cold hard beer on the way home :razz:
 
I'm off till the 6th now. b*ll***s to working over Christmas. Its the only time I ever have more than a couple of days off. Kitchen fitter I know is only having xmas day off. Mentioned a job he wants me on asap and I said ok. I'll see you on the 6th
 
were done tomorrow until the 13th now.
although nothing happening in the render game until the start of march now really, bits of prepping etc but no great shakes.
 
I pay them 3 weeks up, i have 3 on the books.
its 20 days [or there abouts off the top of my head] a year, plus bank holidays on paye, so they get that plus 1 week at there choice later in year.
 
I just tickover after that until march, costs me money, but then i make enough march until December to cover the losses, when were at full pelt plus subbies on for us.

Is that the legal entitlement owls ,20 days for someone on paye? I've just took an apprentice on and not sure how many hols he entitled to , I thought it was more than 20 days, I've been told of hmrc to ring acas but havnt got round to it,any other info about u can give would be appreciated , ta
 
working through to tuesday then they are back on the 27th but i wont be back untill at the earliest 28th as the 26th is my birthday
 
no stopping for me... Got lots to get done.. I will take a few hours off christmas day but other than that flat out :-)

Got a job to do in the local school sat, sun and monday having 3 or 4 days off then a kitchen to do, 2 or 3 days off new year them back into it. I was banned from going out on Black Eye Friday a few years ago now so I will not be out the morra
 
Finished 2 weeks ago me, domestics just died off around my way, which is understandable as people don't want you plastering around Xmas decorations, most people will say "fook it, leave it til after Xmas"

had 1 week off previously since February and not had a holiday so I don't think iv done too bad this year.

go back on the 6th, booked til end of January and have spent most of my time off pricing work and doing bits and bobs on website, I also put some pictures up on a forum but got slated, but that's another story.
