Hello Fellas

Ive been asked to quote for a job in an old victorian flat conversion.

They need to make the cellar ceiling fire proof for 60 minutes.

They said that they wont accept double board of normal board so I will have to use fire board.

What are the best boards I should use?

Cheers

british gypsum firecheck boards. i suggest you use the 6x3 rather than 8x4 because they are heavy basta.rds

I thought single standard board + skim gave 30 mins and double board overlap joints + skim gave 60 mins so I'd guess single board firecheck + skim gives you 60..
or why bother with firecheck at all?

your right mate, im pretty sure firecheck and skim gives 60mins. maybe they wont accept double board because of ceiling height being a cellar. even if it is only half inch
