Fireplace knock out

I have removed our old fireplace and getting it ready for a log burner

I have started to render the inside(scratch coat done), I attached edge beads but as the walls were so uneven I have rendered past the edge of the bead loosing a true line.

is it possible to add second edge beading on top.

thanks

you don't seem to realise the heat that the log burners produce.
the render will just break key, the beads will crack because of the heat.
knock the beads off, knock the scratch coat off, line the recess with cement board

How you scratched that dude ? Never seen that before

Lime render is supposed to be better around heat but I would still prefer to use the glasroc type board esp as trying to render onto poor surface
