Alright lads,

I'm sure this has been covered but to save me trawling through old threads, whats the best way to render the inside of a fireplace that is going to be taking a wood burner ?

Got it to do tomorrow and unsure whether I need special refractory ?? cement or OPC with some lime added - Also, in what ratio do they need to be mixed, normal 4:1 or weaker / stronger ??

render as normal but make sure it is alloed to fully dry out before the the stove is installed/used ive done this where an Aga has been installed with no problems also dabbed with firecheck boards and skimmed but paper taped the joints instead of fiber tape
