Hello all,
Been wanting to give plastering a go for a while now, and recently i gutted a couple of rooms in my house and dot/dab fresh plaster board on all the walls. This has given me the perfect opportunity to give it a go! Been reading the website for tips etc.. and I've found loads of useful information. I have also found youtube some help.
My cousin is a plaster and his work is stunning. Went out for a day with him and it was very clear my i knew very little. How have i managed to reach the age of 28 and not know how to open a bag of power correctly? So i now how to:
Open bags
Mix multi finish
Scratch it on (That is what he called it)
Flatten it off.
Then i watched:
Second coat
Rubbing it down
Tidying the edges.
So with this new knowledge, i have plastered a very small room in the house. I think i will post pics and questions in a different post.
Anyway thats my background, I'm somewhere between crap - poor plus mega slow, i hope to improve!!!
