Do you find it easier to fix before the scratchcoat or after? does it make a difference which way round? :-\

Why bother posting Mur? none of your posts are constructive. Stop flooding the forums with crap to hit 500.

Sometimes I fix before the scratch coat and sometimes after the scratch coat and sometimes a mix of both ways on the same job. If you fix before the scratch coat you must make sure that you push the muck well through the bead.

it makes cringe, when out and about, you tend to notice others ppl's rendering jobs and how many of them still stick there beads up with multi finish. :o

When you see some of the things on the renders it makes you wonder what goes on inside where no one can see.

free d you asked a question i answered, anyone who takes a rendering job on should know to set the beeds before scratching wether you set them in compo or nail or however you set you do it first then scratch then topoff incidently I was f@@@king about last night trying to get my post count up but lets just say if everyone stuck to plastering and pmd they personal chit chat it would be a pretty boring site. Ive answerd every question with an informative answer in the past but when youve done the same question over and over again over yrs and yrs it tends to get a tad tedious so CHILL

too right mate they should use drywall adhesive like the rest of us ;)

Thanks all, to be honest i struggle a bit with the beads only cause i'm a bit of a perfectionist....whats wrong with using multi or board adhesive anyways? only need to hold it in place. Perfect day for rendering in Bristol today had a good run :)

I tend to scratch first and dab the beads up as I find this the quickest way.

To much pissing about with the nails and another tool to get out and put away.
