is it ok to skim over some expanding foam ive got a patch about one ft square the plumbers repaired some pipes an wazzed a load of that in or does it need bonding first thanks

Then the plumber is a c**t.........pull it out and build it in properly. I definitely wouldn't skim over it.

skim over it no problems just put a few pieces of 100mm scrim over it if u got any i usually foam up gaps left by shitty builders boarding if they are that bad

you know that foam stuff just disintegrates into dust over time?

Can't get me head round how some people use it expecting it to hold doors and windows in place :RpS_crying:

It only disintegrates if it is exposed to UV light, so as long as its covered up and protected from sunlight then it doesn't lose its strength.

Agree that it is no substitute for proper frame fixings on doors/windows though!
