anybody else ever second coat a big set get all washed out go flattening then get to the wall round the corner or something and think f**k i never put a second coat on it >:( and you have to scramble about getting it off the other walls and out the rubbish bag.

No but I have got a bad habit of puttin tools down n forgettin where. And I tend to spread out making my work area bigger n bigger. Workin in a house at mo and my tools are in every room. I 'll go and find my tape measure then go back to where im workin and realize I didnt pick up a level either and have to go searchin for that as well ! :-\

i have a habit of puttin my knife down everywhere. the worst one was when i was a labouring. mixing up, washing the bucket, hawks, bucket trowel, putting all the kit back in the van. then realising i havent washed the drill

some times i 2end coat the high bits of walls wash out then lob the gear away then realize iv not done the bottom!

I have 20 or so pairs of glasses... never know where they are either... as for tools... well thats another story... when skimming i normally have... trowel (in right hand) 5" splash brush, sash brush and angle trowel in my left hand... and F u*k me if i put anything down... Im screwed... totally... everything stops... glasses (not all) are normally on my head... and the angle trowel or sash brush is in the murky water... which the stupid labourer has never changed for clean... how many times must you tell people that you need clean water when finishing... they probably have a bloody NVQ for it now... ok 8 cans now have to go... ::)

I'm guilty of all of the above at some point or other.

I lost my trowel once, because someone phoned me half way through a set, went to the van to write their details down, put the trowel down on the passenger seat, went back in the house without noticeing what I had done, and couldnt find it for ten minutes.
