Forum newbie! I've been plastering and tiling for 3 years and been checking this site from the shadows, time to join! Just read thread from 2015 about bonding and skim mix over artex, got nightmare ceiling and walls to do so will try this method tomoz prior to finish coat as not used it before, question tho, does this mix hold well over cracks (wall cracks not board joints) or do i still need to tape up as usual?? Cheers chaps and chapesses, love the site!

Welcome along @TOPCAT [emoji106] I'd still tape as usual, the bonding/skim mix (aka the Zombiemix) does work wonders but scrim them cracks all the same

Cheers for the replies lads, yeah ok I'll defo pva and scrim it to death, and yes, it is the fabled Zombie mix, here's hoping..!

Try some render mesh (the fibreglass stuff used for mono. ewi. k rend etc) if a fair few cracks. I use it all the time on reskims it's brilliant saves time pissing about with rolls and rolls of fibatape

Durrrr ok TC
