mate of mine wants his garage walls dry lining then skimmed so he can paint its a seperate garage away from the house and its a 9 inch wall brickwork ive said 30mm celotex on the wall with a batten then board an skim but he dont want the insulation is there any other preferd method im missing thanks

think youve answered your own question. he doesnt want the expensive insulated boards so just use normal 12.5s, its a garage at the end of the day

Do you have to use fire check on the ceiling and is it worth using vapour check on the Walls mate

Oh then it will need gypliner with cement board then cross battened then 600mm celotex then vapour barrier then gyproc green board tiled wiith class 1 ceramic tiles and epoxy grout.
