The reason I left the England, was because we were sold down the line. Get your NVQ and City and Guilds and you'll have no problem getting out here. They are seriously desperate for the like of you guys. Keep your chin up, and get it done and get your agent and get here. You will not look back. I call OZ my little old England. The young OZ's are in UK behind bars, the best stay at home. That's why I came here, cheap and the best decision in my life. Plastering, Drylining and Rendering are the best quals you can have out here. Do not go to any building centre in OZ they take your money and you are not guaranteed a place out here. With the above quals you are.
 
Defo Going to try and get out to Oz sometime in 2009 my uncles a property developer in Melbourne. If i don't like it i can always come home so i'm gona give it a shot!
 
Granty if you have a uncle in melbourne get out there mate, i loved melbourn thought it was one of the best cities in oz when we were there,id be there tommorrow
 
Why are Australians such bad losers?
They are now crying over the fact that they lost at Blind Cricket.
I think out of the two, i'd try to get into Canada, as i've never met an Australian that I didn't think was a lazy good for nothing surf bum.

Flinnyman, I'm on between 60 to 90 au dollars a metre. Best pay check 10.000au dollars so far in a week. Have travelled a bit to get the work, but will only work with the ex-pats. The Oz'ss don't like us that much because the majority are lazy sods. The Polished plastering is taking off over here too and have a job in a new hotel starting 10 Jan for 6 months. Covering some 15,000 sqm in a new hotel here. Ceiling in white and walls in Faded yellow. Have a good xmas all, regards Larry.
 
griff did you mean 60 to 90 au dollars an hour? My mates over there and he was getttin 400 for goin in weekend. Where abouts in oz are you?
 
I'm on approximately 60-90 au dollars a metre of render not day my mistake, easy money hence the amount per week. That was my best week. Worst week has been $5000au a week so far, but that was a while back
 
s**t that sounds good, where abouts in oz are you? My mates in sydney and hes a fixer but hasnt got a start doin it yet but is a bit worried because all he has seen and been told is the ty workers are doing it. told him i would teach him plastering ten years ago but didnt think he would need it so just learnt boarding and metal stud, it got him in to oz so thats good but he thinks the fixing is f**k*d, told me the tys were doin the plasterin but i know its not that easy to pick up like drylining. The arse has fell out of fixing over here coz you can pick it up so quickly, whats the crack over there for fixers? sounds really good $5000 to $10000 a week god i could retire in a couple of months ;)
