Grano dust.

Any one had any dealings with this stuff ? me house was built in 1938 and got open coal fires, going to be opening the fire place out shortly, and want to cast my own hearth, making the mould to cast is not a problem, but was wondering whether i can just use Grano dust and cement or do i need to have sand in the ratio ?? if so whats the ratios and what type of sand ?

Makes brilliant concrete mate, I mix it at 3 plastering sand, 2 grano, 1 cement.....:RpS_thumbup:

I done my own hearth 9oclock sat night.everything went in the mix at that time of night .grano included half of my crap Chinese worked a treat .
