i`m sure it`s been asked before but can`t find the thread.if a customer is intrested in a insulated render system.are they entitled to grant funds for the work?

This has become a bit of a grey area mate. No one is sure what grants are about and from who. Last I heard the banks was suppose to be funding green grants for this works and then I heard energy companies was suppose to be doing it so who knows. Perhaps Owls may have some input on this or the other lads who do this works.

there are grants but not all fully funded i beleive and I think it still has to be granted - not certain that everyone will get one for this type of work?

you can get a grant but it depends how you go about doing it.

eon energy are currently inconjunction with Weber so if you use a Weber system you can get funding but its no where near the full amount.

its leveled on different factors, these are region, age and size of property, so the best case senerio are that you have a large detached house are over 65. but even then i think the maximum is about a grand you can get off.It also has no basing on income or savings. I really only use Parex systems, they currently have no grants available but they are in the process of tieing up with an energy firm as I understand.

in a few years it will come more to the front, due to increasing energy costs and the way its going with carbon footprints etc, and when the new regs get fully implemented.i think the grants will increase as time goes on but i cant see it anytime soon with the current climate, as it stands a maximum of about 1200 quid aint much, but i suppose its better than nowt.
