going to be d+d tomorow and ill be using this stuff for the first time, ive heard it sets in like 5 minutes, is this the case? shall i put blobs onto the board then offer the board up to the wall or would it be best to blod the wall then put the board up?? or doenst it matter

No, it stays usable for ages say 45,60 mins or so, put blobs on wall 600 centres and put board to adhesive and tap with edge to straighten up.

really? ah nice 1, i should be fine then, apnic over 8-) the guy who built this extension is gonna have a look once ive finished and if it meets hsi standard then he wants to send work my way 8-)

well the floor is deffinately out as the builder must have a wonky level! and the ceiling isn't the best either but ill do it properly and either show him where he's going wrong or he will just be annoyed that i've done a better job than he has (hes boarded the ceiling) and wont get any work from him :-/ ;D

haha see how it goes, if he offers me work its best not to knock his, if he doesnt offe rme anythign then i'll be happy to point him in the right direction ;D

dri wall should always be applied to the wall then the boards did they not teach you this on your course?you should always leave a few inches gap at the bottom aswell :)

sorry for the late reply, yeah got on fine, quite enjoyed it, left a gap on the bottom but not too far, so it coudl fully support the boards but not touch the floor that i covered over with ply ready to be tiled, dont want it expanding and cracking my lovely walls, tho an annoying thing.. i popped to b&q this morning to pick up a couple of boards as i was short... and onc ei had cut them ready, one of the boards i thougth i had propped in place ans was sturdy came crashing down straight ontop my back! so i had to go to b&q for another, but they didnt have any but where expecting a delivery! so i went to wickes and they didnt have any either! so i went to the other side of town and the other b&q had some (size i needed!) so wasted hour and a half!!! ah well, lesson learned! :D
