ever notice when youre haking off render that a thin coat of render is harder to get off than a thick coat means a thin coat must be stronger or do you think its just harder to get of cos its thin
I think it's the fact of getting behind the rendering in the first place , and thinner render is a mare to get behind unless it's all blown , have fun it's not the nicest of jobs to do , at least weather is good
Is it not just a case of that the thicker the layer of render the better the leverage you will get ie the thicker layer will come off in larger chucks because when force is applied at a distance through your chisel the energy transference is greater and' the thinner coat is more brittle and dose not transfer the energy as efficiently.
