got to float a wall in a victorian semi the external corner is flat across 45deg with a birds beak top an bottom was thinkin of putting a timber up to form the skimmed arris to work too the othr side is fine whats best to put on the timber to stop the finish stickin so when skimmed i can take it awy then work in the other side cheers was thinkin of something like wd40 or something or is there anything a bit better cheers

WHENEVER I SKIM TO WOOD, I USE A SOFT WOOD THEN WHEN YOU SKIM IT WILL EXPAND AND WHEN IT DRYS OUT IT WILL CONTRACT AND COME AWAY FROM THE SKIM, THEN JUST GIVE IT A FEW LIGHT TAPS WITH THE HAMMER AN TAKE IT AWAY ;)

no im just doing them freehand without a safety net ;D

ok mate its just i got a fella to make me one and he made loads of them for me, all the plasterers i know always fill angles with bonding and make them square so it just seems a shame to let them go to waste ;)

couldnt you just plonk a stop bead either side and just run the the beak in freehand? or even flexi arch bead for the beak?

it all depends in how big the beak is weather you would even get a bead on it. i do alot of these an monk is prbs doin it the best way the onley problem is that there is no strength in the tip off the arris because there is no metal in it so when it gets knocked and bumped it will chip very easy. what i normaly do to combat this is use a tougher finish made by BG Link Removed

HOPE THIS HELPS SOME MORE MONK ;)
